PARTNERSHIP WITH ANSYS
Cascade Technologies has been a partner
of Ansys since 2002 when we started to
jointly market Cascade’s V2F turbulence
model. The cooperation has been
significantly extended with the joint
development of the Immersed Boundary
(IB) module available in Fluent since
2009. Cascade’s engineers have worked
closely with Fluent developers in
Manchester (NH) and Pune (India) to
create the computational infrastructure to
develop the IB module and then to
perform verification and testing.
Both the V2F and IB module are offered as add-on to the Fluent solver; Cascade Technologies and Ansys have shared responsibility for technical support, while Cascade leads all development efforts.
